PROPERTY IN SEVENOAKS
Sevenoaks is a charming market town deriving its name in around 800AD from an ancient chapel built near seven oak trees. Local Knowle House, built in the 15th century, helped Sevenoaks grow.
It is located very close to the M25 and has good access to the M26/M20 and with its station providing very fast and frequent trains to London, it is a popular location for many commuters with high property prices reflecting the demand.
There are good schools, particularly the independent Sevenoaks School and good local shopping and other amenities such as, pubs, restaurants, a local theatre and one of the oldest cricket grounds in England at “The Vine”, also having seven old oak trees until the great storm of 1987!
As well as the attractions of Knowle House and the historic Ightham Mote (both National Trust owned), the local countryside, partly associated with the North Downs and the River Derwent and several lakes, provides a significant draw to incoming residents.
As well as Sevenoaks itself, the many attractive villages close by such as Riverhead, Otford and Shoreham provide an abundance of older and more contemporary residential property styles to buy and rent, whatever your budget.
As a Chartered Surveyor, property professional and relocation agent, Neil has almost 40 years experience, acting either for clients or in pursuing his own interests in both the buying and renting of residential property, particularly in London, Surrey and Kent where he has lived and worked most of his life.
Knowing the trials and tribulations involved, he is well placed with his bespoke service, to guide clients who are busy with their own lives and business concerns, or those with the combined pressure of changing jobs and moving home, through the process as speedily and smoothly as possible.
With his agency contacts, Neil has been able to source, early “off market” opportunities for clients seeking properties to buy or rent for their own occupation or investment purchase, either as Holiday Let or “Buy To Let”, some also with redevelopment potential, of which they would not have otherwise been aware.
