This old wool town is idyllically situated in the north of the Cotswolds, at one end of the 100-mile Cotswold Way which stretches all the way through the Cotswolds to Bath. A brief walking tour will reveal many buildings reflecting the town history and origins – the Silk Mill, Woolstaplers Hall and Market Hall, which is still in use today. A wide range of independent local shops, including antiques, books, artisan food shops, fashion and gift shops, provide a rich and diverse shopping experience. Chipping Campden is ideally situated for visits to the larger centres such as Stratford upon Avon or even Birmingham, and it is surrounded by wonderful countryside with a wide variety of properties.
Chipping Campden is one of the most picturesque small towns in the Cotswolds and a gilded masterpiece of limestone and craftsmanship. The main street curves in a shallow arc lined with a succession of ancient houses each grafted to the next but each with its own distinctive embellishments.
Property in Chipping Campden is typified by the honey coloured local limestone, although there is also a wide range of traditional and more modern property located outside of the market town centre.
